Student Corner

This past winter break Sierra Martin, OSUBAS Student Representative, went on a Buck-I-Serv Trip to Maui!

She spent 8 days on the island helping with 3 different organizations, the Alex Bode Farm, Haleakala National Park, and Hawaii Wildlife. Sierra was able to serve these organizations by planting coconut trees, graveling a patio, removing invasive species, and snorkel surveying for sea turtles.

While in Hawaii Sierra did get to have some fun, traveling the Road to Hana, learning to surf and she even swam in swim holes.

Sierra said “this was an overall amazing experience for her and a great way to bring in the New Year.”
